A Special Piece of a Round Trip Flight to Athens
Not every part of the trip is exciting, and before we do anything interesting in Greece we first have to rocket through the air at hundreds of miles per hour in a pressurized metal can. Each $100 installment should cover about 2 in-flight movies we were too cheap to watch in theaters last year, a lukewarm drink, and a disappointing meal. What value!

Half a Round-trip Flight from Athens to Santorini
We'll land first in Athens then immediately hop on a short flight to Santorini. That's a lot of flying around but taking a ferry would be over 5 hours, so we'll have to just deal with it.

One Night at Hotel Mylos, Santorini
This place has some amazing views, free airport pickups, is across the street from a delicious gyro place, and has a complimentary breakfast. It's also just outside the overpriced and cliffside town of Fira, so still in the budget hotel price-range. Yay!

Akrotiri Daytrip
This Pompeii-style, ash-preserved town was completely volcanoed out of existence around 1627 BCE in one of the biggest volcanic eruptions in human history. This fiery holocaust wiped out the dominant Minoan civilization with tsunamis and famines and changed the course of human history, so we're going to go take selfies with what's left. This whole gift should cover a bus to get there, entrance to the site and attached museum, and probably a lunch or something.

Scuba Diving Trip on Santorini
Santorini may not have big tropical reefs, but there are volcanic caves, sunken ships, and crystal clear waters that should make for an exciting diving adventure. Just have to make sure not to let the bends or an accidental lung explosion ruin a nice honeymoon. Safety first.

We're pretty sure that about half of our lunches will consist of these pita sandwich-type foods, especially since our Santorini hotel is across the street from one souvlaki establishment. They're cheap, filling, and just look at the picture. Who's saying no to that?

Athens Airbnb
In Athens we'll be staying at an Airbnb apartment that's about a 5 minute walk from the Acropolis. Should be a good base of operations for all of our touristy activities.

Greek Round-Trip Train Ride
To get to Meteora, we need to spend several hours riding a train through the Greek countryside. And that's... picturesque? Exciting? I'm not really sure but it'll be an experience that gets us where we want to go, so that's good.

We'll be taking a one-night side trip to visit the amazing monasteries of Meteora. This hotel has a great balcony view of the iconic mountains and is minutes away from both the train station and the hiking trails headed up to the monasteries. Also complimentary breakfast!
