It’s September. You’ve just got married, and you’re wondering where to go. You want some heat (which you definitely won’t get in somewhere like England), breathtaking scenery, fun and adventurous activities and a perfect place for relaxation to enjoy with your new husband or wife. But where can you get all that in the Autumn?

Cyprus in September is the perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and culture. As the birthplace of Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, this destination is the ultimate romantic getaway for loved-up newlyweds. With an average temperature of 24°C, Cyprus will provide a lovely climate to wander the cobbled streets of Omodos Village, explore the harbour town of Paphos, take in the history at Lefkara Village or lay on the golden sands of Limassol.

This exotic African island looks like it’s been taken straight from the Caribbean, and offers honeymooners complete relaxation not too far away from home. Because of its location underneath the equator, Zanzibar can often experience long rainy periods. Luckily, June through to October is known as their summer – so you can expect highs of 25-30॰C and lows of 22॰C in the evenings. Zanzibar is most famous for its beachside resorts that allow couples to wake up on the edge of the ocean, laze on the goldens sands and bathe in the see-through sea.

Hawaiian Islands

The Hawaiian Islands are a dream destination for many people – so why not make it your honeymoon destination? September is one of the hottest months for Hawaii, which means you can expect a whopping average of 30॰C for your September honeymoon. Luckily, the island of Hawaii offers cooling winds that will allow you to explore the luscious forests, walk along the rugged cliffs, find hidden waterfalls, paddle board through the aquamarine ocean, swim with turtles and explore everything Hawaii has to offer – which is a lot!

Singapore is a great mix of activities and landscapes, meaning it’s great for the couple who can’t decide what they want from their honeymoon! Our top pick? You just have to visit the Gardens by the Bay – they really do need to be seen to be believed.

New York

Ahhh, the Big Apple! New York can get incredibly hot and humid (and slightly unbearable) in the summer months, but September is the best time to visit as it’s less humid but still warm! If you’re not fussed with laying on a beach and reading a book, then New York could be your perfect honeymoon destination. Check out Times Square, walk hand in hand through Central Park, watch a Broadway show, see the city from above from the Empire State Building and check out all of the incredible food they have to offer.
